Who we are

History of MCN
When Sam & Harriet did the Kairos Course in 2006, a vision for the Nations was birthed in their hearts. The reality of communities of peoples and nations around the world that are clearly isolated from the Good News was an invitation from God for participation. The Lord stirred them with a dream for a mission movement from Africa to the nations; they started creating mission awareness among college students, challenging them to pray for the nations and envisioning them for global missions.
In 2009, during a time of prayer and fasting to seek the Lord’s guidance for long term service in missions, the Lord gave them a vision, through the book of Numbers 13 and 14, to mobilize the Church in Africa to inherit the nations for the worship of the Lord Jesus. God led them to form Mission Campaign Network as a platform to prepare a harvest force from Africa, to the harvest field among the nations in Africa and beyond.
A mobilized and equipped Church of Kenya/Africa impacting the least reached nations with the Gospel for the worship of Jesus Christ and kingdom transformation.
a) Mobilized – We believe that all disciples of Christ are called individually and corporately called to partner with God in His redemptive mission in their own cultures and cross-culturally among the least reached nations of the world. Mobilization envisions intentional, strategic, and collaborative participation in God’s mission to the nations, with particular emphasis on communities that have the least access to the gospel. Through our ministry of mobilization, we anticipate God’s people to be envisioned and empowered to participate in three levels of evangelism and transformation, with significant emphasis on levels 2 and 3:
- Evangelism Level 1 – among unsaved people who are familiar with Christianity and have previously heard the gospel. There are usually insignificant cultural barriers to cross to evangelize them, e.g. spiritual.
- Evangelism Level 2 – cross-cultural evangelism among people who are not familiar with Christianity and mostly belong to other religions. There’s usually more than one significant cultural barrier to overcome and evangelize them e.g., language, clothing, etc.
- Evangelism Level 3 – cross-cultural evangelism among people who are not familiar with Christianity and mostly belong to other religions. There’s usually more than one significant cultural barrier to overcome and evangelize them e.g., language, clothing, etc.
b) Kingdom transformation – evidence of God’s will being manifest in the real life of Christ-followers and in all spheres of life society, reflecting Biblical values, righteousness, and justice, all for the glory of God and the extension of His kingdom to the ends of the earth.
To grow, equip and engage missional communities for fruitful participation in the Mission of God.
- Grow – We seek to grow and multiply missional communities of Christ-followers who live on mission with God 24/7 among college students, local churches, and marketplace Christians for the Great Commission. Mission communities are mobilized local churches, Christian Unions, fellowships, small groups, Bible studies, who are mobilized and envisioned for God’s mission, and journey together and collaborate with others to impact the nations with the Gospel.
- Equip – Using missional discipleship, courses, programs, activities, short term missions, and ministry internships, we equip God’s people to participate strategically and fruitfully in God’s mission according to the graces, resources, abilities, talents, and skills God has endowed them in the power of the Holy Spirit and for the salvation of all nations.
- Engage – We provide pathways for strategic participation in reaching the least reached nations with the good news of the gospel. We partner with individuals, local churches, and like-minded organizations to engage God’s people in reaching the least reached nations with the gospel.
- The Mission of God – this is God’s salvation and transformation plan for all nations, through the gospel of Jesus Christ, for true worship, obedience, and glorification of Christ, which all God’s people are called to participate in. The mission of God shapes the identity (being) and activities (doing) of the Church, expressed through worship, obedience and service among all nations, tribes, cultures, and peoples, to the ends of the earth and for the glory of God. God the Father sent the Son, the Father and the Son sent the Holy Spirit, and the Triune God sent the church. The church is, therefore, a missionary community of God’s people for the sake of the nations and the glory of God.
Core values reflect the organization’s spiritual aspirations and convictions that form part of our organizational culture. We hold these values to heart and aspire for their perfection in our lives and ministry.
1. The Lordship of Christ
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, worthy of our wholehearted devotion, allegiance, submission and service; in Christ we derive our identity, purpose and hope of eternity.
2. Passion for God’s Glory
We dream about all nations worshipping and glorifying God. The glory of God alone, and not personal or ministry gain, drives our passion in ministry.
3. Kingdom Values
We are committed to Biblical truth and aspire for a life that demonstrates kingdom values, Christ-like character and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We recognize that Christianity that lacks evident personal and transformation is powerless and a hindrance to God’s redemptive mission among the nations.
4. Life of Faith
We dedicate our gifts, skills and talents to the full-time service of the Lord Jesus, and trust God to provide for our needs as we partner with His people. We believe it is God’s will for all His people to participate in His mission in a collaborative effort, and that through His people God will supply the resources we need to live on mission with Him. Faith permeates our way of life and ministry.
5. Prayer and Power of the Holy Spirit
We believe that lasting fruit in ministry is borne in prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit. As we pursue effectiveness in ministry, we commit ourselves to invest in concerted and persistent prayers, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.
6. Witness of Family
We believe Christian families are integral to God’s redemptive mission and a witness to His kingdom on earth. We promote Biblical marriage as a gift from God for the missional purpose of God among young people.
1. The Body of Christ
We mobilize all God’s people and all expressions of the Body of Christ for intentional, strategic, collaborative and fruitful participation in God’s mission. We seek to grow missional communities among various categories of sustained fellowship and accountability in the mission of God.
2. Indigenous Mission Movement
We believe God has raised the Church of Africa in this age to play a significant part in His mission to the nations. We seek to catalyze, inspire, and compliment the growth indigenous mission movements for creative role in global missions.
3. Least Reached People Groups
We mobilize the Church to participate in God’s mission to all nations, with particular emphasis on the remaining least reached nations of the World.
4. Training, Equipping & Releasing
We seek to prepare God’s people for fruitful participation in God’s mission through missional discipleship and equipping for cross-cultural missions.
5. Relationships, Partnership & Networking
We value and nurture Kingdom relationships for strategic partnerships in God’s global mission.
6. Kingdom Shalom
We believe the Gospel of Christ is the only true source of wholeness and wellbeing on earth in all spheres of life, restoring relationships between men, with God and nature. We believe Christian mission should reflect kingdom shalom of righteousness, peace and joy.
MCN subscribes to the following Biblical truths enshrined in its Doctrinal Basis of faith.
1. The Bible
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant and entirely trustworthy Word of God, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. The Trinity
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, creator of Heaven and Earth.
3. The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity and true humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His personal pre-existence, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatory work, and His personal return to Power and Glory.
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, indwells and seals all believers in Christ.
5. Salvation
We believe in the salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, by grace through faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
6. The Church
We believe in the Spiritual unity of all those who, having believed in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and comprise therefore the one holy universal Church, the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.
7. The Mission of God
We believe God is on mission to redeem all nations for His global glory and worship, to destroy the works of Satan on earth, and to prepare the Church for His glorious return.
8. The Mission of the Church
We believe that the primary essence of the Church is the true worship and obedience of Jesus Christ, and for all Christ followers to be on mission with God. That the Church’s identity and ministries only find eternal meaning and purpose if they emanate from and are shaped by the missionary identity and character of God.
9. We affirm the Lausanne Covenant of 1974.
